The Team Behind Your Rug’s New Look
Elegant Rug Services is a rug cleaning company based out of Del Mar. The inspiration behind Elegant Rug Services started with a nuisance that bothered many of us. Rug cleaning companies often appear rushed and careless in their approach to deep cleaning rugs.
Many rugs come out of rug cleaning salons looking like they are “okay” but not truly cleaned and valued like the rug owners themselves do for their beloved possessions.
We wanted to do it differently and care for the rugs and rug owners ourselves.
How Elegant Rug Services Started
The founder of Elegant Rug Services, spent years in the textile and carpet cleaning industry before starting his company. Throughout the years, he noticed rugs, especially the more expensive and nicer rugs, were treated the same as carpet. Wrong chemicals, wrong equipment, wrong approach altogether. It just wasn’t done properly.
We wanted to make a company that understood the difference between rugs that were machine made and synthetic as opposed to rugs that were hand knotted and made out of natural wool from passed down rugs in his family for years. This distinction would become the foundation of the company that Ronald would start.
What Matters Most to Elegant Rug Services
A few things are important to us, and they remain the same every single time we serve a customer.
We are upfront with you. If something is going to be tricky to remove, we’ll tell you. If the rug requires a gentler process that takes a bit longer to complete, we’ll let you know why up front. You’ll never feel like we’re guessing at things or making things up as we go along.
We treat every rug like it’s worth the extra care and effort. Whether it’s a simple rug from one of the home goods stores or a rug that’s been a part of your family for decades, we take care of every rug the same.
Why Elegant Rug Services Love Being Based in Del Mar
Del Mar is such a special place and we feel lucky to be based here in the community. Since we are on Camino del Mar, we get to know a lot of our clients personally. Many of our clients stop by to say hello, to chat with us and often to share with us the story behind their rug. It’s one of our favorite parts of the job!
Being local means that we understand the effect that the coastal environment here has on rugs differently than it would have in some area inland. The air, the humidity, the sand that seems to find its way into every home near the beach all play a role in the way that rugs wear with time – factors that we consider in the way that we clean rugs and how often we deep clean rugs for rug clients in Del Mar.
The people who will work with you on the rug cleaning team all enjoy the work that we do together. Nobody comes in here and just runs rugs through the machine without a second thought. We love seeing the way that rugs transform and how the transformation of those rugs can make someone’s home feel a little better.
We are not a big rug cleaning company with a script to follow. We are a small company that chose to specialize in rugs.
